Renting a self-drive car for the first time? It's genuinely simple — but knowing what to expect makes pickup even smoother. Here's everything you need, without the jargon.
Documents you'll need
- A valid driving licence — a full licence (not a learner's permit) that's been valid for at least a year.
- One government photo ID — Aadhaar, Passport or Voter ID.
- That's it. Keep the originals with you at pickup; a digital copy on your phone is handy as backup.
The security deposit
A small, refundable security deposit is collected at pickup and returned in full after the car comes back in good condition. The exact amount depends on the car model. Think of it as a standard hold — not an extra charge.
How pricing works
Our rates are simple per-day prices with no hidden charges. Fuel is on you — you return the car with the same fuel level it was given with. If a booking has any kilometre limit, we tell you clearly before you confirm, so there are never surprises.
Fuel, tolls and fines
- Fuel: pay as you go, return at the same level.
- Tolls and parking: paid by you during the trip.
- Traffic fines: any challan during your rental period is your responsibility.
Who can drive the car
Only the person named on the booking (or an additional driver we've approved) should drive. No sub-letting or using the car as a commercial taxi — these keep the insurance valid and everyone protected.
If something goes wrong
Our support line is available 24×7. In case of a breakdown we arrange roadside assistance and, where needed, a replacement vehicle so your trip continues. In case of an accident, inform us immediately and file a police report where required.
For the full details, see our Rental Terms and Cancellation policy. When you're ready, booking takes about two minutes.
